The UK's Community Classical Arts Organisation
THEATRE ODYSSEY is a community-run arts organisation dedicated to promoting the world of Greece and Rome through all the arts. We mainly produce Greek and Roman plays, but also work on developing new writing, music, visual arts, storytelling, and any other form of visual or performance art our members want to get involved in! Everything we do, though, has some Classical element, grounded in the Greek and Roman worlds.
Theatre Odyssey was founded in 2000, when John J. Taylor's adaptation of Homer's 'Odyssey' was first produced. Since then, productions of Lysistrata, Medea, Agamemnon, Antigone, The Frogs, various storytelling events in schools and public places, musical concerts and visual arts exhibitions have taken up our time!
If you would like to be involved in Theatre Odyssey, email us at join@theatreodyssey.com.

IN MEMORIAM: EDWIN MORGAN
Honorary Patron of Theatre Odyssey
Theatre Odyssey are saddened to hear today of the death of our beloved patron, the great Glaswegian Poet, Edwin Morgan, aged 90. Edwin was the first Scots Makar since the reintroduction of the Scottish Parliament, Glasgow's Poet Laureate, and a great friend of Theatre Odyssey. He supported our work in the early days, writing encouraging letters to the Directors of Theatre Odyssey, and offering assistance in various ways. His loss is significant. Edwin is simply irreplaceable in Scots culture, and Theatre Odyssey will only be one of many Scottish cultural organisation mourning him today.
